At Netflix, we are building a big data analytics platform in the cloud by leveraging open source technologies like Hadoop, Hive, Pig, and Presto. We provide a reliable platform for Data Science and Engineering teams to gain product and consumer insights from a petabyte scale data-warehouse. Hundreds of billions of events are processed daily and the volume is climbing rapidly as we grow our global subscriber base. This represents a tremendous opportunity to build a world-class data pipeline and analytics platform in the cloud for our global and expanding service.

With this role, you will be driving operational excellence for Netflix's big data infrastructure. Specifically, you will:
- Build automation and tools to productize our big data infrastructure in the cloud.
- Manage cloud deployment & configuration of our clusters and gateways.
- Manage our AWS cloud infrastructure including network setup, access control, and our integration with AWS EMR control plane.
- Be a liaison to our Netflix engineering tools and security team.
- Do performance analysis and capacity planning for our AWS infrastructure. Drive efficiency in our AWS usage.

Qualifications:
- 4+ years of relevant tool development/operations experience.
- Successful track record of providing production support for large-scale distributed systems.
- Experience in automating production systems with Java, python, or equivalent.
- Experience with Linux administration a big plus.
- Experience with Hadoop a big plus.
- Experience with cloud computing platforms (e.g. Amazon AWS, Microsoft Azure, Google App Engine, etc.) a big plus.
- A Bachelors or Masters in Computer Science or equivalent degree.
