AB testing is at the heart of both the Netflix product and the culture. As we expand internationally and rapidly grow our user base, we need a new system that can scale to the volume and complexity of the increasing number of AB tests. At any given point, there can be hundreds of AB tests running concurrently; how do we make sure that we are getting the proper, valid data?  How do we make sure they do not conflict? In short, how do we make sure that the engineers and product folks implementing the tests can do so easily and unambiguously, while the data analysts can reach the right conclusion quickly without error? This is the challenge of building the next generation of experimentation platform, and we are building everything from scratch.

We are looking for a manager to lead a talented team of senior front-end and backend engineers, and drive the vision of this next generation experimentation platform. This is a high impact, high visibility opportunity to work with top experimentation and data scientists, algorithm, and engineers across the company.  

Requirements:
- A hands-on technical leader. You will manage a seasoned engineering team and partner with business owners, product managers and enable successful delivery. While you can participate in the full development lifecycle, including code reviews, design reviews, and architecture reviews  -  you have the judgment and experience to be able to decide when to jump in and when to let the team make their own decisions.
- A great partner for other teams. Your team consistently delivers and delights; partners want to work with you.
- An "agile" person. You believe in, advocate and practice an agile development cycle focusing on frequent delivery of working features that involves your users in its design.  While you focus on fast iteration, you do not rely on heavy process to achieve results.
- You desire a fast-paced, dynamic environment. You can operate with ambiguous requirements and changing priorities, all while having a strong sense of ownership of the applications that you deliver.

Skills:
- 5+ years of management experience
- Well versed in statistics, algorithms, and experimentation
- Experience partnering with internal business owners
- Excellent communication skills
- Solid Java development/engineering background including design patterns, data structures, test driven development and OO concepts
- Experience in tiered application development, service-oriented architecture, and scalable systems
