As part of the team, your mission, should you choose to accept it, will be to create the chaos suite of tools that the entire company relies on for failure injection and outage prevention. At Netflix we strive for amazing resilience, injecting Chaos back into our production systems at scale allows us to prove it.

Chaos Monkey was the start. We are doubling down on chaos and building the next generation of legendary simians to help bring the Netflix service to the next level.
About you:
You've built and run complex distributed systems at web-scale. You love to break and fix things. Chaos is your middle name.

You will be successful in this role if you:
- Thrive in high tempo, high consequence situations and keep your cool amid chaos
- Enjoy breaking things, but know how to fix them as well
- Understand and articulate concepts and tradeoffs made in distributed systems like availability and consistency
- Have experience troubleshooting and running code on the JVM at scale
- Love having a legendary impact and improving the organization as a whole

Requirements:
- BS/MS in Computer Science (or equivalent)
- Exceptional Java, C# or C++, object oriented design and programming skills
- Solid understanding of data structures, concurrency and algorithms
- Expertise in building highly scalable distributed systems
- Excellent communications skills, both written and verbal
